There are many Ignatian Educators currently “living ad majorem” – living into a greater, deeper commitment not only to their own spirituality but also the spirituality of those they work alongside.
One such Ignatian educator is Brian Maraña, Principal of the Upper School at Loyola Blakefield. Recently, Brian answered a few questions for LivingAdMajorem to help us get to know him. He shared what led him to this work as well as what drives him to continue to serve the mission of the Society of Jesus in secondary education.
As you learn more about Brian, consider the following questions for reflection:
- How did I get to where I am?
- Who were my mentors and guides along the way?
- What motivates me to keep showing up and committing to the mission?
