There are many Ignatian Educators currently “living ad majorem” – living into a greater, deeper commitment not only to their own spirituality but also the spirituality of those they work alongside.
One such Ignatian educator is Bob Stephan, Director for Ignatian Formation and Adult Spirituality at Loyola High School Los Angeles. Recently, Bob answered a few questions for LivingAdMajorem to help us get to know him. He shared what led him to this work as well as what drives him to continue to serve the mission of the Society of Jesus in secondary education.
As you learn more about Bob, consider the following questions for reflection:
- How did I get to where I am?
- Who were my mentors and guides along the way?
- What motivates me to keep showing up and committing to the mission?
Bob and Elliott (our previous interviewee) are co-teaching a class for Educate Magis starting soon on the Four Key Practices in Ignatian Spirituality. You can learn about this course and the other course offerings at Educate Magis here.
